Upon the great battles fields of the menacing Weekend Wars
In which we warriors had little time to think of such things as chores.
Upon this weekend I had my allies to adore,
For aiding my fight with the weekend’s bore.

On Friday I’ll depart
before this weekend’s start
I’ll have to move quick and play it smart
With little time I did my part
And gave my teachers my weekday art.

And with this done I made my move
A plan, I that I just had to prove
One that you may have disapproved
But one day might help improve

This plan I had was very good
I just need to set this mood
Of one that should not be misunderstood.
What I did and where I stood
Are like fire to this wood.
Now please listen if you would

To this plan that I have made
For this will be my fifth crusade
To take this weekend with my blade
And do all I can to invade.
And with money I will trade
Fun and laughter in the shade
After all the laughs I’ll take a drink of my favorite lemonade
And ask my friends to a masquerade
And then kindly ask are you not unafraid?
Or will you be needing some financial aid?
It is then, not at all delayed
The weekend sets up it’s blockade
It Kills our raids
And leaves us with no brigades
And our amusement begins it’s cascade.

But don’t you see I already have a scheme
Of a defending team
With a violent stream
Of a melodic theme.

This music we hear will stop all tears
And makes us roar with joyous cheers
An escape we engineered
To free ourselves from these fears
For now we have reach new frontiers.

We gathered after then
So we could sleep in the den
We waited for all our men
Before we reached our zen.
And then and only then
Could we sleep in that den.

After our slumber
We counted our numbers
And gathered our lumber

And with our lumber we started a fire
And it’s heat we did admire
The needs for showers were indeed dire.
For some of us it was time to retire
And they called out for a ceasefire.

Although it’s just begun
This weekends fight was far from won.
